Personally, making kimono cards is like eating candy. It's fun and satisfying with the exception that it doesn't create calories. I feel inspired knowing someone will perhaps own one of my cards, receiving a tiny microcosm of Japanese culture. Each card is blank inside. A printed "haiku" bound with a cord and bead has been inserted.
